During the appointment, we will discuss your needs and expectations and explore how we can realistically align them with your individual facial proportions. We will precisely assess your jawline, lip position, and chin projection to create a harmonious axis between your nose, lips, and chin.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROCEDURE

The operation is performed under general anesthesia via an incision in the oral mucosa. The chin bone is precisely cut, moved forward, downward, or upward into the desired position, and fixed with fine titanium mini-plates.
Permanent implants are not used. The miniplates serve only as temporary stabilization and are usually removed in a minor follow-up procedure after 6–9 months.

AFTER THE SURGERY

Swelling and a slight feeling of tightness in the chin and lip area may occur during the first few days. The oral mucosa is closed with absorbable sutures; these are removed after approximately 10–14 days. A pureed diet is recommended during the first week to support mucosal healing. The final result will be visible after the swelling has completely subsided and the bone has healed.
