Over time, facial skin loses elasticity, and the contours of the cheeks, jawline, and neck soften, creating a tired expression. A facelift gently restores these contours, reestablishing definition while preserving a natural, relaxed look. Depending on your individual anatomy, we offer either a deep plane facelift, which releases and repositions the deeper tissue layers including the SMAS and platysma, or a SMAS plication,
where the SMAS layer is folded over itself and secured using sutures. Both techniques are designed to achieve elegant, balanced results—never over-tightened, never artificial. A face lift can be combined with other targeted procedures such as a deep neck lift, brow lift, eyelid surgery, or skin resurfacing, tailored to your unique needs.

Dr. Konstantin Frank

As a specialist in plastic and aesthetic surgery, Dr. Konstantin Frank has also accumulated many years of experience in the operating room. He has honed his anatomical knowledge through more than 200 publications and at least 200 international presentations in the field of plastic surgery. He specializes in facial surgery and heads the operating room at the Munich location.

Facelift procedure

INITIAL SURGICAL CONSULTATION

During the consultation, you and your surgeon will discuss your individual needs and expectations. Afterwards, you will jointly determine which expectations are realistic and which of the many different facelift options is suitable for you.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROCEDURE

The facelift is performed under anesthesia and takes between 3 and 6 hours, depending on the individual case. We remove excess skin (and fat deposits if necessary), use the finest sutures for virtually invisible scars, and take care to preserve your natural appearance.

A facelift is often combined with other procedures such as a brow lift, upper eyelid lift, or CO2 laser skin treatment. You can discuss the optimal combination of procedures for you with your surgeon.

AFTER THE SURGERY

You may spend the first night in the clinic. We will remove any drains the following day. You will receive a structured plan for cooling, elevation, and care. The sutures are usually removed after 5–7 days. Light daily activities are possible again soon; you should refrain from sports and strenuous activities for 2–4 weeks. We will coordinate follow-up appointments, a training plan, and a nutrition plan with you individually.
